Julie Delaloye a obtenu son diplôme de médecin ainsi que sa thèse de doctorat à la Faculté de Biologie et de Médecine (FBM) de l’Université de Lausanne en 2004. Elle a ensuite poursuivi sa formation clinique au Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) et à l’Hôpital de Sion avec une spécialisation en médecine interne, en infectiologie et en soins intensifs. A côté de son activité clinique, elle participe à de nombreux projets de recherche dans le domaine des maladies infectieuses notamment en milieu de soins intensifs. Elle enrichit sa formation par un CAS en recherche clinique à l’université de Lausanne en 2009, suivi d’un MAS dans le domaine « Drug discovery and clinical development » à l’université de Genève dès 2017.  Julie Delaloye travaille actuellement en tant que médecin dans le Service des Soins Intensifs de l’hôpital de Sion.

Parallèlement à son activité de médecin, Julie Delaloye est poète. Elle a obtenu le Prix de la Vocation de la Fondation Bleustein-Blanchet à Paris en 2008, avec son premier recueil « Dans un ciel de février » paru aux éditions Cheyne en 2008. Un deuxième recueil est paru en 2015 « Malgré la neige » aux éditions Cheyne (sélection finale du prix Apollinaire 2016).

De par sa double vocation de  médecin et de poète, Julie Delaloye entreprend un travail de réflexion sur la place de la poésie dans la médecine et dans l’histoire médicale des patients. Depuis 2016, Julie Delaloye organise « Le Printemps de la poésie » dans les hôpitaux de Suisse romande, avec la volonté de rendre la poésie accessible aux patients. Des distributions de poèmes, des expositions, des lectures et des rencontres poétiques sont ainsi organisées chaque année dans les hôpitaux de Suisse romande.
