Julie Delaloye obtained her medicine diploma as well as her thesis at the Biology and Medicine Facutly (FBM) at Lausanne University in 2004. She then continued her clinical formation at Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) and at the Hôpital de Sion with a specialisation in internal medecine, infectiology and intensive care.

Next to her clinical activity, she is involved in many projects in research in infectiology diseases notably in relation to intensive care. She holds also a CAS in clinical research at the Lausanne University in 2009, followed by a MAS in the area « Drug discovery and clinical development » at the Geneva University from 2017.  Julie Delaloye works a medical doctor in the Intensive Care Service in Hôpital in Sion.

In addition to her activity as medical doctor, Julie Delaloye is poet. She was awarded the Prix de la Vocation de la Fondation Bleustein-Blanchet in Paris in 2008, with her first book « Dans un ciel de février » published in Editions Cheyne in 2008. A second poetry book is published in 2015 « Malgré la neige » Editions Cheyne (selected for the final of the selection Prix Apollinaire 2016).

Because of her double vocation as medical doctor and poet, Julie Delaloye undertakes a thinking process on the place of the poetry in the medicine and the medical history of the patients. Since 2016, Julie Delaloye organises « Le Printemps de la poésie » in the hospitals of French part of the Switzerland, with the intention to give access to poetry to patients. Distributions of poems, expositions, reading and poetry meetings are also organised each year in the hospitals in Romandie.
