Julia Sader

Julia Sader studied psychology in Geneva (BA). In addition, she studied philosophy and obtained a certificate of philosophy in Geneva. During her studies in London at the University College London (UCL), Julia got her master’s degree in Developmental Psychology. Back in Geneva Julia joined the UDREM  (Unit of Development and Research in Medical Education) team in January 2019 where she currently works as a research assistant and participates in the elaboration and conduct of development and research projects in medical education related to clinical reasoning.

Julia joined the Institute for Ethics, History, and the Humanities in April 2019 to complete her PhD thesis under the supervision of Professors Christine Clavien and Marie-Claude Audétat on the theme of clinical reasoning and ethics in the medical context.

Thesis:

Master: "What are the experiences of Psychologists regarding Shared Decision Making in the treatment of young people" under the supervision of Dr Daniel Hayes, this study aimed to explore how psychologists experienced and applied Shared Decision Making with the CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) . 2018

Bachelor: "Current use of the DSM-5" under the supervision of Dr. Lisa Jachens, this study aimed to investigate the use of the diagnostic manual by psychiatrists in Geneva in their daily practices. 2016
